"Morning Light" was painted during my winter break - a time when it was cold, a little dreary and absolutely nothing was in bloom. So I decided to make my own beauty that day. I picked up some flowers from my local super market and placed them in the gorgeous morning light in my studio. I knew I wanted the light and shadow to be as important as the florals themselves. So I arranged and rearranged until I found a composition emphasizing both. What a fun experiment.
