This new artwork  makes me think of summer days spent at the lakefront, where crepe myrtles line the streets. These trees grow tall and wide, and their branches seem to come alive with even the slightest breeze. The way they sway and the shimmering light they create on the pavement below is etched in my mind.
As I worked on this piece, I found myself remembering those summer days. The soft white blooms, framed those moments in a way that felt almost magical. I wanted to capture that feeling on canvas—the way the branches moved, the way the light played through the leaves, and the peacefulness of it all.
