We followed a pathway lined with trees and boulders and turned to see a huge patch of snow - our first big milestone on our journey up to 10,000ft. We had never been up that high before we were so excited with each little climb in elevation. We admired the snow (like the Louisianians we are) and continued up the trail excited to make it to the glacier at the top.
