The Silver & Gold Collection

This collection is all about growth - in so many different ways. Flowers in themselves represent new life each year with their blooms, but the process of creating this body of work has been a tremendous growing experience in itself.
Each painting was built layer upon layer. Canvas, then glue, then gold leaf, then sealant, then paint and finally a varnish. Layers were built up and scraped away only to re-emerge in a new color or texture. It’s required patience and persistence and so much time. Late nights of hands covered in paint and months of gold leaf flecks covering the floor. I’ve loved watching these paintings grow into their full potential and I’m so excited to finally be able to share them with you.
